Fundraising

The Christmas Fair begins slowly, months before the event, when members meet to develop craft ideas and create the handmade items that make the Norwalk Garden Club Christmas Fair unique.

The week before the fair, the club gathers to assemble and decorate live wreaths and arrangements, plus wreaths that are donated to civic organizations and public buildings.

The results of the hard work and planning are evident on one Saturday in early December when hundreds of holiday shoppers purchase fresh evergreen wreaths and arrangements, handmade craft items, homemade baked goods, and take a chance on winning one of the overflowing raffle baskets.

PLANT SALE

In May, members combine perennials from their own gardens, patio planters, and crafts to offer a wide variety of shade and sun-loving plants at their annual Plant Sale. Proceeds from the sales go toward scholarships and the educational programs.
